Let's face it... most people don't have credit reports and scores that are blemish-free. If you have gotten into a bit of money trouble - and your credit reports and scores aren't as high as they could be - you may not be able to get a traditional, unsecured credit card. That's OK, though, because bad credit credit cards are a great alternative! Designed specifically for people with bad credit, these <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards are also called "secured credit cards". With them, all of your purchases will have to be paid for in advance - meaning that you'll have to deposit money onto them before you can buy anything.

So, what makes these credit cards so great?

1.You can have a name-brand credit card Most of the companies that issue traditional credit cards also have a line of bad credit credit cards. If you want the "status" of having a Visa card or a MasterCard, bad credit credit cards give you that option! That way, when you put your credit card down to pay, no one will be able to tell whether or not you've got an unsecured credit card, or one of the cards that's for people with bad credit. As an added benefit, by having a card from one of the bigger companies, you get to take advantage of all of the same purchasing power as the people who have unsecured credit cards. Your card will be accepted worldwide, and you'll be able to use it at any ATM where your brand is accepted.

2. You can get rewards Think that those cash back credit cards or those credit cards that offer travel miles are a luxury that only people with great credit get? Think again! Many of the bad credit credit cards on the market offer perks that "regular" customers get. After all, there are so many bad credit credit cards to choose from that companies have to do something to stay competitive! The result? Plenty of cash back credit cards to choose from.

3. You can often get "extra" opportunities through them If you already have a company in place to provide you with a bad credit credit card, you may be able to take advantage of other opportunities, too - like being able to get personal loans. Apply online for a bad credit credit card, and you may also get loan offers! As an added benefit, with these types of personal loans, when you apply online, it only takes a short time to get approved!

When you think of a credit card, you probably think of making all of the purchases you need and worrying about paying the bill later. That's how unsecured <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards work - the most common type of credit card. However, that's not how all credit cards work.

For millions of people who have credit that's less than stellar, unsecured credit cards simply aren't an option. If your credit score is too low, unsecured credit card issuers won't be willing to take a chance on you. After all, they don't want to run the risk of you racking up a huge bill and not being able to pay it off! So, what do you do when getting unsecured credit cards aren't an option?

Take advantage of these 3 things:

1. Credit cards for bad credit For lots of people, getting credit cards for bad credit simply isn't an option. If you plan on making any purchases that require a credit card - like booking a hotel room or buying an airline ticket - you will need one of the credit cards for bad credit. While they may come with some extra rules that you have to follow, these cards will still give you all of the purchasing power of plastic.

          ]]>

2. Auto loans for bad credit If you have car bills that are piling up - and don't have a credit card to put them on - you may have no choice but to opt for auto loans for bad credit. Luckily, there are plenty of reputable companies out there that offer them. The key is to find one that offers reasonable interest rates and conditions, even if your credit score isn't what it should be.

3. A student credit card Maybe your problem isn't that you have bad credit; maybe your problem is that you don't have any credit to begin with! That's OK. It's actually a common issue for most students who are away from home for the first time. If your complete lack of credit is stopping you from qualifying for unsecured credit cards - or you're afraid that you may not be able to spend wisely if you have an unsecured credit card - get a student credit card. A student credit card is specially-designed to help you pay for things like books and tuition fees, without a huge spending limit. That way, you won't be tempted to buy more than you can afford - since your card will max out before you get there! As you start to pay off the bills on your student credit card on time, you will start to build good credit. And, if you want, you can increase your spending limit as you get more comfortable!

Do you want to obtain a poor credit card? Approval for poor credit card isn't in line with the applicant's credit rating. Rather, approval is offered as lengthy because the applicant can submit the needed quantity of deposit which is used as to safeguard financial obligations. Isn't it time to try to get a low credit score card? If so, consider the following advice:

1. Consider all of the available bad credit credit card options. An example of the credit card for poor credit may be the guaranteed credit card. But apart from guaranteed <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards, you will find other kinds of cards that are especially created for clients with poor credit for example prepaid credit card.

What's the main difference? Having a guaranteed credit card, you may enjoy a line of credit along with a sophistication period to help you pay your charges at another time. It's also possible to submit just the minimum due payment for that month and carry balance for the following billing cycle.

          ]]>

On the other hand, a prepaid debit card doesn't provide its owner having a line of credit. Whenever you charge an order for your prepaid debit card, it'll instantly be compensated while using funds deposited inside your account. Once the fund expires, a prepaid debit cardholder must submit a brand new deposit to have the ability to make use of the card for brand new purchases. It's best to know your possible options to help you select a credit card that's good for you.

2. Consider all of the possible assets from which you'll get a preferred credit card for poor credit. Apart from financial institutions, you may even take a look at lending institutions or credit organizations in your area. Most lending institutions offer credit cards for poor credit with reduced rates of interest than charge cards on the market. However, before registering, ensure the resource or provider from the credit card is really a legitimate one.

3. Avoid card companies that provide out "too-good-to-be-true" promises. Con artists may offer charge cards for poor credit with very low APR and exciting rewards to draw in clients. Be careful! Not every credit cards marketed as a low credit score charge card is authentic. A number of them might not provide credit confirming towards the major credit agencies and that means you can't make use of the credit card for repairing poor credit.

4. Look for card programs which will fit your budget and finances. Search for a credit card most abundant in reasonable interest rate. Additionally, ensure that you won't be exposed to hidden costs or excessive penalty charges.

Using a credit card is an easy, secure and convenient way of paying. However, there are several different types of <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards for consumers. Thus, choosing the most suitable card is essential to keep your credit experience trouble-free.

So, here are a few tips to compare credit cards and choose the right card:

• Interest rate is the most important reason for choosing a credit card. If the APR, annual percentage rate, of a credit card is higher, you will have to pay a higher cost. Thus, you should only select deals with lower APR. However, credit cards have different interest rates for cash advances and for the goods you buy. Thus, make sure that your credit card company mentions you both the interest rates.

• Even if you have the complete knowledge of interest rates, you must take annul fees into consideration. Almost all the credit card companies have annual fees. Some companies offer lower interest rates, but charge extraordinary annual fees. These fees may include an annual membership fee and annual credit insurance fees. Thus, you must choose low interest credit cards with low annual fees as well.

          ]]>

• You should also take credit card reward programs into consideration. There are several credit card companies offering several attractive reward programs. However, some companies try to trick its consumers by offering reward deals while keeping the APR sky-high. Thus, you should only give a limited amount of consideration to the reward programs.

• Balance transfer is one of the most decisive features for comparing credit card offers. Balance transfer allows you to transfer your balance of a lower APR credit card into a higher APR credit card.

• You can also check online reviews of almost all the credit card companies. Many credit card owners write their reviews and experience on many review websites and online forums. You can even talk to them personally and ask about their experience of any particular credit card company. In this way, you will understand the terms and conditions of these companies in a better and comprehensive way. You will also know the total interest rate and annual fees including any hidden fees.

• If you want to choose the most suitable credit card deal, you must contact more than one credit card Company. It will help you compare credit cards and their benefits. Thus, you can analyze the terms and conditions of each company and make the right decision.

• Last, but not the least, there are several credit card companies that offer credit fraud protection. Thus, it minimizes the chances of most kinds of credit frauds. Thus, it keeps your credit safe and secure and offers a comprehensive security for a better credit experience. It is not the most important reason for choosing a credit card, but it can play an important role in your choice.

All in all, choosing the right credit cards company is critical. So, you must consider these facts to select the most suitable card.
Article Source

Instant approval <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards have become increasingly popular. With the rushed lifestyle many are living and the need to get things done quickly, it is little wonder more and more people are turning to instant approval credit cards. But, are instant approval credit cards really so great? Furthermore, are there any drawbacks or things you need to be aware of before applying for an instant approval credit card online? The answer to both of these questions is yes, so let's weigh the pros and cons of these types of cards.

Pro: Instant approval credit card online applications can get a card in your hand quickly.

For those needing the flexibility and freedom of a credit card right away, the fact that an instant approval credit card can take as little as one to two weeks to arrive in your mailbox is a definite plus. Regular credit cards can take up to eight weeks to be processed and sent to you. If you have a project you want to get started on right away, a vacation you want to take soon, or bill that need to be paid quickly, you simply don't have eight weeks to wait.

Con: Not everyone gets their instant approval credit card right away.

Although instant approval credit cards are billed as "instant approval," not everyone qualifies quite so quickly. In fact, if you have poor to mediocre credit, your instant approval credit card online application may be put on hold for a few days while the lending company looks into your credit history a little more thoroughly. In addition, instant approval is not the same as guaranteed approval. Therefore, usually only those with an above average credit history will be instantly approved. Of course, an instant approval credit card will still most likely arrive to you much quicker than a traditional credit card, but you might be disappointed to learn you have to wait a bit longer than you originally thought.

          ]]>

Con: Instant approval credit cards often have a higher interest rate than regular credit cards.

While not always true, instant approval credit cards usually have a higher interest rate than regular credit cards. This is how the lending company compensates for expediting the application process. It is also the price you pay for the convenience of instant approval. When looking for an instant approval credit card, be sure to explore all of your options to find one that does not have a terribly high interest rate.

Pro: Instant approval credit cards often have a special introductory rate.

While many instant approval credit cards have a higher interest rate than standard credit cards, they often have a special introductory low APR. This special rate can be as low as 0.00%. Financially, the best move you can make is to receive one of these cards, take advantage of the introductory rate, and pay off the balance in full before the interest rate kicks in. If you want to still use the card for purchases beyond the introductory period, be sure to pay the balance at the end of each billing cycle.

Con: Some instant approval credit cards need to be secured.

A secured instant approval credit card is one that you send money to ahead of time. Therefore, you are never actually borrowing money from a line of credit. Instead, you are using your own money. This type of credit card is really more of a debit card that allows you to spend from your own account. For those with poor credit, however, a secured instant approval credit card can be a great way to rebuild credit or to establish a credit history.

Pro: Instant approval credit cards look just like other credit cards, even if they are secured.

No matter what type of instant approval credit card you obtain - whether secured or unsecured - it looks the same as a regular credit card. Therefore, no one will know that your card was instantly approved or secured, which could potentially leave you feeling embarrassed.

If you are young and are looking for a good way to build credit, a secure credit card may be a good option. Secured <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards are also good for older people who have never established credit. Getting credit is difficult if you don't have any. Many lenders will attempt to look at your credit report to determine whether or not you qualify for a loan. If you don't have a credit history, they may not take the risk of lending you money.

This can put you in a difficult situation. It is very difficult to function in society without having good credit. Getting a car, house, or job will often require a credit check. Because of this it is important to have a solid credit history.

How Do Secured Credit Cards Work?

While there are many ways you can establish credit, the most common method is to get a secured credit card from a company which offers them. As the name implies, this type of card is secured by using the money you deposit in the account. The money will stay in the account as long as you use the card. The card will have a balance limit on it which will not be more than the deposit you made. Once you have made a deposit into the account, you will be able to use the card just as you would with any credit card. Secured credit cards are secure for both the lender and the borrower.

          ]]>

Zero Risk For Your Credit Card Company?

The credit card company lowers its risk by only lending money which can be secured by the money deposited by the borrower. It helps the borrower because they avoid taking on a large amount of debt that they may not be able to handle. The secured credit card has many similarities to a regular credit card, and you will receive a bill every month. These cards are different from prepaid credit cards which do not have an account which is used to secure them. Most prepaid credit cards are very similar to debit cards, and you cannot build a credit history by using them.

Building Credit By Spending

You will begin building your credit report as you use the secured loan to make purchases. Though you can use your secured credit card for as long as you want, most people eventually switch to an unsecured credit card. Secured credit cards tend to have much higher interest rates than unsecured credit cards, and they typically don't have an annual charge. With secured loans, a portion of your money is locked in an account and you are not able to access it; this isn't a problem with an unsecured credit card.

Step Up For An Unsecured Credit Card

At the same time, having an unsecured credit card requires you to be responsible. You should only get this type of card if you've consistently made payments on your secured credit card with no problems. If you find that you have been late making payments, it may be best to continue using the secured credit card. You don't want to put yourself in a situation where your debt increases.

Secured credit cards are great for young people who are just starting out. They carry a low amount of risk; this is something which benefits everyone. Since secured credit cards have a much higher interest rate than unsecured cards, you can expect to pay more in interest when using them. Those who are looking for low interest rates will want to look at unsecured credit cards. These cards are aimed at people who have built up a good amount of credit, and have demonstrated that they can make payments on time. Building up a solid credit history is an important part of managing your finances.

Airline <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards have not been around for as long as you may think. In fact, they are a fairly new option available to credit cardholders. Nonetheless, airline credit cards have quickly gained in popularity and can be found partnered with every major airline.

The First Airline Credit Card

The first airline credit card to be offered to consumers was the City AAdvantage MasterCard. When it came out, the card allowed consumers to earn miles with every purchase made. These miles could then be redeemed for free air travel through a variety of airlines. This card remains one of the major players in the airline credit card industry. Today, you can redeem your airline miles at over 25 different airlines. In addition, you can redeem miles for discounts at numerous hotels and car rental companies.

Airlines Follow Suit

Realizing what a great idea airline miles credit cards was, airlines started following suit and partnering with credit card companies to create their own airline credit card. The United Airlines Plus card was next. This card was the first airline credit card to be specific to an airline. Although the card did not offer the flexibility of receiving discounted tickets with numerous airlines, those who frequently traveled on United Airlines enthusiastically embraced this United Airlines credit card.

          ]]>

Not to be outdone, Continental Airlines unveiled its airline credit card, the Continental Airlines World MasterCard, shortly after United Airlines. Both airlines still offer their own airline miles credit cards, but provide their own special incentives to set them apart from the competition. Today, the United Airlines Plus Signature Visa Credit Card offers 17,500 bonus miles after the first purchase with the card, a certificate for a free one-way 1,000 mile one-class upgrade, and a $25 certificate for discount travel. The Continental Airlines World MasterCard offers 15,000 OnePass bonus miles after completing your first purchase. In addition, you can earn double OnePass miles with purchases made at Continental Airlines and with partner merchants and a 5% discount on Continental Fares purchased at their website using the card.

Airline Miles Credit Cards Today

Today, airline credit cards are in abundance. Every major airline has partnered with a credit card company in order to bring their own airline credit card to the consumer. In addition, competition to gain and to retain flying customers is fierce. Therefore, airline credit cards offer a number of incentives, bonuses, and special deals to entice customers into acquiring their credit card.

In addition, the number of "generic" airline miles credit cards is on the rise. It is not unheard of for an airline credit card to allow the consumer to choose from over 200 different airlines when redeeming earned miles. Many of these airline credit cards also offer other discount options, such as hotel, car rental, and vacation package discounts that can be purchased with earned miles.

The Future of Airline Credit Cards

With the competition being so strong when it comes to airline customers and credit card customers, the future of airline credit cards looks bright for consumers. In all likelihood, the number of incentives and bonuses will continue to rise in order to draw in new cardholders. A trend that is currently starting to develop are special low APRs and annual fees. Traditionally, airline miles credit cards have had annual fees and high APRs when compared to credit cards without rewards programs. While this remains true, more and more airline credit cards are starting to offer competitive APRs and waiving annual fees in an attempt to attract more customers.

One thing is for certain: airline miles credit cards will continue to be popular among consumers, particularly for those that can pay off their balance in full at the end of each month and take full advantage of the special rewards.

Airline <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards are increasingly becoming popular. Airline companies and banks, in particular, often sponsor airline credit cards in order to provide incentives to attract consumer interest. But before choosing an airline credit card, you should collect as much information as possible about each airline card that you are considering.

If you are a business traveler or a frequent flyer, an airline credit card is definitely something to investigate. But you might be wondering how airline credit cards work. Quite simply, you earn reward points, or miles, for every dollar spent with the credit card. These points can earn you free flights, free companion tickets, lost baggage protection, first class upgrades, car rentals, free stays in hotels and more.

It was the Citi Aadvantage card that first offered the airline credit card. Consumers got points with every purchase they made. These points could be redeemed for free air travel through a variety of different airlines. Today, most airlines have partnerships with credit card companies in order to provide airline credit cards rewards programs, and the incentives offered by these companies is attractive thanks in part to the existing competition in this industry.

When compared to standard credit cards, airline credit cards charge a higher interest rate and, in many cases, also charge annual fees for membership. But when used effectively, there are several attractive features of airline credit cards that help to offset those added charges and fees.

          ]]>

There are two general types of airline credit cards:

1) Airline-Sponsored Credit Cards
2) Bank-Sponsored Credit Cards

The points you earn from airline-sponsored credit cards can be used only on a particular airline. These cards are convenient, if you wish to fly on a particular airline or that airline dominates the routes to your potential destinations. Otherwise, it might be better to go with the many bank-sponsored airline credit cards now available.

Bank-sponsored credit cards are more flexible in nature. Unlike airline-sponsored credit cards that generally only allow you to redeem your points on one airline, you can use your points earned from the various bank-sponsored airline credit cards to redeem your miles on a wider selection of airlines. And typically, the points required to earn free travel is generally less with bank-sponsored credit cards. But there are exceptions to this rule.

Things to Keep in Mind

You should make it a point to thoroughly understand airline credit cards and how they work for you as well as how they work for the card companies before making a decision. You might want to peak with people who already have one like family or friends and solicit their feedback on the cards that they use. You can also utilize the Internet, which offers an unprecedented amount of information on a wide variety of credit cards and their features and benefits.

First of all, when selecting any credit card, you should start first with the applicable interest rate of each card. Is the interest rate comparable to other card offers currently available or does it appear to be abnormally high? If you plan to carry a balance on your credit card, you need to be absolutely sure that you select an airline credit card with the lowest ongoing interest rate available. In general, airline cards are not the right choice for those who carry a balance on their credit cards because of the generally higher costs associated with airline cards. Higher interest rates combined with high card balances never go hand in hand.

Some airline credit cards offer points but only on certain purchases. Keep these reward schemes in mind while choosing a card because the card will be essentially worthless if you are not able to make the type of purchases allowed on the card.

Another important item to consider is the expiration date on points that you earn. Also, find out if your points can be used even after the redemption period has expired. Certain cards will stipulate specific uses for point redemption at certain retailers after the expiration date.

And finally, the number of reward points earned per dollar spent varies from card to card. The number of points necessary to earn free or reduced travel will vary from card to card as well, so make sure to carefully weigh those factors when selecting an airline credit card as well.

Do you know the difference? Many people don't and actually can lose plenty of valuable time rebuilding their credit by choosing the wrong type of <a href="http://www.worldwidecreditcards.net"rel="nofollow"title="" >credit cards. So which one is the right choice? Depends on your goal, but if you are looking to rebuild your credit, stick to the secured credit card. Looking to avoid future debt, interest rates and high fees? Stick to prepaid. We break down the differences between the two credit cards for you so you don't have to.

1. Prepaid Credit Cards

This type of credit card works very much the same way a regular credit card does in that you can use it to make purchases without cash. That is where the similarity stops. Prepaid credit cards do not include credit reporting to major credit bureaus (think Equifax and TransUnion Canada). What does this mean exactly? Forget about improving your credit rating with this type of card as it will be next to impossible to determine your credit history. As the name implies, this type of credit card requires you to deposit your own funds into an account associated to the credit card before you can actually use it. Although it does not help with improving your credit score, the prepaid credit card can definitely help you eliminate the risk of having bad debt, remove interest rates and additional charges. You determine how much you get to spend by how much you deposit into the account. Each time you run out of funds, you will need to deposit more money before you are able to use it again.

          ]]>

Benefit:

Eliminates the risk of having bad debt, high interest rates and additional charges
Fees associated with this type of card will be the same as for a debit card. Check with your banking institution as to what these are

Negative:

No reporting to major credit bureaus which does not help you improve your credit score
Likely subject to a daily maximum withdrawal limit

2. Secured Credit Cards

A secured credit card allows you to enjoy the benefits of a credit line like any other credit card holders. Unlike the prepaid credit cards, a secured credit card allows you to pay for items you purchase after the purchase. Instead of depositing money into an account for the credit card, you will be required to put up a security deposit which can (and usually is) determines your credit limit. So the bigger your security deposit, the higher your credit limit will be. This is the preferred credit card as the credit limit will oftentimes exceed the security deposit (you get more to spend than you put up!). Looking to rebuild your credit history? Here is the credit card to help you do it. Like a regular credit card, secured credit cards are reported to the major credit bureaus (Equifax and TransUnion Canada). Now this being said, it is very important to remain within the credit limit of the card and pay your bills on time otherwise it can extremely costly both to your credit history and to your wallet.

Benefit:

Activity is reported to the major credit bureaus which will enable you to rebuild your credit history

Negatives:

Can negatively affect your credit history if you don't stay within the credit limit or pay your bills on time
Can have fees associated with it such as activiation fees, annual fees, late fees and over credit limit fees
Charges interest on outstanding balances

Living the North American dream (credit land) can be a very scary place, especially if you have misused credit in the past. Luckily, options like these exist to help people recover from the credit blues. Whether you are looking to remain "bad" debt free by using the prepaid credit card or your goal is to rebuild your credit history with the secured credit card, you can't go wrong with either of these options. Be sure to choose the credit card that best suits the need of your end goal.

Do you have any experience with either type of credit card? Share your experiences, what better way to help others become informed!

A real estate investor that has been working with Rent-to-Owns for the last two years. His goal is to help as many people as possible realize their dream of home ownership and ensure that people have the information they require to make informed decisions.
Article Source
